The Program

The University of Puerto Rico Law School along with the Faculty of Law of the University of Ottawa in Canada offer a very innovative Winter Program.  Students will spend one week in Canada taking classes at the University of Ottawa and participating in various extra-curricular activities, and two weeks in Puerto Rico taking classes at UPR. Enrolled students can earn up to 4 credits in this period of 3 weeks. Students can only enroll in one course. The program consists of 1 week of study at the University of Ottawa and 2 weeks of study at the University of Puerto Rico.  The Winter Program offers up to a maximum of 3 intensive seminars, which include Femina-Rico, Techno-Rico and Arte-Rico. A maximum of 12 students from each country can register per seminar for a total of 24 students per course. It is a unique opportunity to study cutting-edge issues from the perspective of two distinct jurisdictions.
